Thanks to all of you who during this past decade have approached (and still continue to return to) my blog looking for information about "#Candy-Candy", the novel "#Candy-Candy Final Story" or who "is #anohito or “ano hito”
I am still receiving emails and requests to access the document “Romeo and Juliet ... Japanese style” (this was an original work published in 2014 confidentiality in a restricted forum group, then with some further additions it was made public in 2016, but that to this day (in 2021) still does not have an update.
The document itself, exists and is on my server / (in the cloud, currently it consists of 185 pages) but there is still no public access online because the PDF cannot be made and when it is finally done in sections, Google Docs will not display online PDF documents above 90Mb in size. In addition to this main document, over time, other sections and comments and annexes were added, plus some attached documents such as summaries, tables, references (or others) so a few years back it was already designed and organized to be published as a manual book/manual format (printed) instead of an online PDF document //
* no publication date exists or is being considered (because the publications about Candy-Candy are still illegal /legally stopped// only done for personal use in my home-printer)
* Consequently to this day (2021), the complete guide “Romeo and Juliet ... Japanese Style” has not been published in entirety (neither on the web, nor in print), it might be recommended to ignore the online document “Romeo and Julieta ... Japanese Style” which hasn't had an updated since 2017;
Instead, you could do any of the following;
Read the manga (online / or download PDF) or in another native language (see below for others)
You can also use the original manga in Kanji (NOT FOR RESALE) // ONLY FOR STUDY together with the document ● Annex I - Visual analysis of the manga (updates in 2020 ) -// (as an aid to understand the manga)
Then also read (buy/acquire) the novel Candy-Candy Final Story
Finally, help (whoever needs it) with the ● Annex IV - Novel Analysis- (document published online in 2020)
Although I did know that the novel, in fact the entire Candy-Candy saga is HISTORICAL! What I do have to clarify and acknowledge is that *mistakenly for quite some time I believed that the "key" to understand and solve the novel Candy-Candy Final Story; was the crash of 29 / the economic crisis //
When in fact the correct event (and trigger) is the assassination of Hara Takashi /Hirohito's regency begins.
Once the master key “Hara Takashi / Hara Kei /敬 /kei/respect” is understood in perspective, all the other pieces within the narrative will fall into place;
the order and chronology of the letters,
the note from Porter Gloria / Terry 18 months doubting,
the meaning of the epilogue and its lapses, including that 11-year gap
or the engagement and subsequent wedding of Annie + Archie,
the meaning of the kanas (下”Shita and“上”Jō) in the original title of the novel in Japanese / Kanji, etc.
At this point, I also want to clarify that a similar study to this one, could have been started years ago by so many other fans (it didn’t have to be me); some even correctly connected Linda Richard with the fictional character of Marie-Jane, there are those who have Eliza Lagan connected with Nellie Oleson (I have seen it), places like the School Royal San Pablo were contrasted with its correct location in Rikkyo, of course many other fans also noticed the impressive physical resemblance to Leonard Whiting (years before it even occurred to me to affirm the same), because those same fans at the time they realize that Olivia Hussey / Julieta resemblance does not correspond with Candy ... all of those, freeze and turn around ... curiously it seems that everyone comes to certain levels, to the edge or to the crust, but they are unable to continue investigating, whether is fear of encountering reality or because they are holding strong to a “truth” (and they do not want to deviate from there, even if the preconception was wrong).
Honestly, I think the fans, the thousands of western fans do not want to understand the plot of the story, 40 years later they continue to start from misconceptions such as "the writer/Nagita is a fanatic, obsessed with the western world", on the contrary, the writer is a fan / proud of her culture and promoter of Japanese literature, and her work on the Candy-Candy plot is encompassed within the current “modern Japanese literature”; -as a critic and satirical to Japanese teenage girls who in the 70s were obsessed with everything "American" (when you understand the plot from this simple point of view, everything changes and makes sense), but the majority of western fan continues without understanding.
Nobody has to agree with me, what's more! I hope this is not the reason, I don't want it to be "look what Bequi says"; Nagita told the Italian public (and the French) that when reading the novel they should open their "hearts", I don't think it is the "hearts" but rather the "eyes", "open your eyes", all you need to know; It is there in front of you, it has always been there; the authors (Mizuki/Nagita & Igarashi) managed to revive the interest and rise Japanese culture among adolescent girls during the late 70s creating a stir in the shoujo manga genre, this story / plot in essence has not changed in 4 decades.

The intention to clarify all this, is that I hope this is my last post on this topic in a long time (and for a long time I mean 5 ?, 8? 10 years / even forever?) Personally I do not have the need or the intention to write about this. I AM DONE! What I wanted to know, I already know! // who "the heck is anohito" ?; “ano hito” is who Nagita wants him to be, the male lead in her plot, the one who (in the manga) she makes him to appear for the first time on page 22, in old novels she places him on page 14, and in the CCFS 2010 edition she already mentions him from page 10 onwards.
It was always about him!
... Although on the way I came across a lot of other things that I wasn’t expecting, I did not know, or why they were included in the narrative, and in fact makes the "element of ano hito" not the most shocking, nor the main thing in the narrative of the novel (or as a whole, within the plot of the Candy-Candy saga);

There is another (version/copy two), which was made from "il Giornalino" after deleting the (84) covers, following the layout of the 9-volume manga, (*some pages were also missing and they were created digitally, the Italian text was placed onto scanned pages from Korean manga).
