I am done with the design and update of the blog. I am up and running with the new template and I finally linked the url to my custom domain, so now instead of www.bequi.com/journal - it's like journal.bequi.com

ok, so now than I am bragging about my latest work, I am posting here the logo/wine label I designed in 2009, for the Quella brother's vineyard (located in the Spanish Pyrenees)

yes, I've been very busy designing the kids room, it is must certain that we'll build a loft bunk-bed (aka train bunk-beds) we'll also try to use as much as possible the furniture from the the old baby-room

I am trying to start blogging once again, unfortunately bloogger ( or google) disabled the ftp function over a year ago, i am still trying to set up my personal domain (custom domain) to hold my blogs, I haven't have much luck in the meantime i am forced to use the free system suppled by bloogger - blogspot.com, it sucks!!!

Great ad by Ogilvy for Ford Germany

Today I came across this ad (done by Ogilvy for Ford - I think for the European market). I am not sure if the idea was done before (as I read it on a forum) or if this is an original ad, but the final result is in my opinion fantastic it makes me laugh and think - whether new or old is a great idea i just love the simplicity and the message.. which brings me back to a more unhappy -sad though, today I saw lady GAGA interview on Oprah, where she talk about her "art & inspiration" it wasn't until she had to explain the "meaning of her design-outfits " that i realized that art; any form of art (graphic, video, painting, fashion, sculpture ..) that doesn't connect immediately with the viewer (content/context) this art has failed, any artist trying to explain the meaning of its piece is a flop. This will be like a comedian telling a joke and then trying to explaining the audience "the joke".. you get it? do you get it? ... yes we get it...

El Mundo de los Niños or Childcraft The How and Why Library

Before "Wikipedia", before "how it's made", before "Mythbusters" before even Walt Disney animated classic fairytales ... there was Childcraft The How and Why Library (or translated to Spanish as "el mundo de los niños") Wonderful memories of my childhood, which now I want to pass onto my daughter. Yesterday I bought the 1973 Spanish version of the encyclopedia "el mundo de los niños"

My favorite book was number 11 - Do It Yourself (before I didn't know I was doing D.I.Y
But also the fairytales books, the Nature volume, the travel and the 7 wonders of the ancient word ... oh what a super collection of knowledge, so beautifully crafted , so many amazing illustrations is a truly treasure...

I can't wait to get them home!!!!











La enciclopedia se creo en 1930s by W. F. Quarrie & Company, el titulo original es "Childcraft: The How and Why Library" por los sesenta la enciclopedia ya era muy popular y en los setenta la coleccion se tradujo a diferentes idiomas (entre ellos el castellano) con el titulo El mundo de los niños (editado por Salvat) - pero tambien puedes encontrar versiones de la enciclopedia en Italiano (I QUINDICI) o Frances (editadas por otras editoriales, no salvat)

Hoy en dia World Book sigue editando y modernizando la enciclopedia el ultimo Copyright que aparece es del 2006. contacta directamente con ellos, quizas te puedan orientar mejor donde encontra la enciclopedia con el idioma que prefieres
